Medical Billing and Coding (MBC)

The Medical Billing and Coding Program trains students to work in the rapidly growing healthcare industry. Boca Helping Hands partners with a Certified Professional Coder instructor to provide students with the tools needed to gain their Certified Professional Coder (CPC) Certification.


Additional financial support offered on a case-by-case basis.

Requirements:
+ Are 18 years of age or older
+ Have a High School Diploma or GED (in English)
+ Have a valid driver’s license and Social Security Card

+ Provide the last 3 months of bank statements to establish financial need
+ Have strong English language skills
+ Have reliable transportation
+ Pass Level 1 background screening check
+ Refundable deposit required 


Phase One: One week of Job Readiness taught virtually via Zoom. Monday through Friday from 9:00 am - 4:00 pm.


Phase Two: This program includes five courses, each approximately 7 weeks in length. Classes are held twice a week on Wednesday and Friday evenings from 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm. Approximately 9 months of classes in total. 


Phase Three: Graduates work with BHH Job Mentors to update/create resumes, practice mock interviews, and learn how to navigate employment sites for open positions.


Please note that all phases are mandatory for successful completion of the program.
