  • When are you open?

    The Remillard Family Resource Center is open Monday - Friday, 9:00 am - 4:00 pm. However, at this time there are no appointments or in-person meetings due to COVID-19. 


    We are only offering drive-thru services at this time. The Pantry Bag Program distribution varies in hours and locations, please click here for more information. Hot meals are served in to-go containers at our main facility in East Boca on Monday through Friday from 11:00 am - 12:30 pm and in Lake Worth on Fridays from 4:30 pm - 6:00 pm. 

  • When is lunch served?

    Hot meals are distributed Monday through Saturday from 11:00 am - 12:30 pm in our drive-thru at our main facility (1500 NW 1st Court, Boca Raton, FL 33432) as well as in Lake Worth at Proclaim Church on Fridays from 4:30 pm - 6:00 pm  (2116 Lantana Rd, Lake Worth, FL 33462). Excluding major holidays.

  • Can anyone have lunch?

    Yes! The Hot Meal Program is open to anyone wishing to enjoy a hot, nutritious meal. Click here for more information.

  • Who can sign up for the Pantry Bag Program?

    The Pantry Bag Program is open to qualifying Palm Beach County residents who are living at or below the poverty line. Click here for more information.

  • When can I volunteer?

    Although specific hours are determined by the area you're volunteering in, most shifts are approximately 4 hours. 

  • What kinds of volunteer opportunities do you have?

  • When are Volunteer Orientations?

    Volunteer Orientations are typically held once a month in person, however, due to COVID-19, we have transitioned into an online orientation video that can be found here

  • I'm a student, can I get credit for graduation, National Honors Society, etc.?

    Absolutely. That said, children 15 and younger must have a parent on site with them.

  • Do you offer shelter or housing assistance?

    Boca Helping Hands does not offer shelter or housing assistance. We recommend 2-1-1 Palm Beach for a list of facilities and resources. 

  • What food items do you need the most?

    You will find a list of foods that we use in our pantry program here. Any of these items would be greatly appreciated, however, cereal, pasta and rice are always in need.

  • Where can I donate food?

    Donations can be dropped off at our main facility during the following hours: 


    Monday - Friday (8:30 am - 3:30 pm)

    Saturday (9:00 am - 12:00pm)


    Please do not drop off food outside of the doors outside of these hours. 

  • What are the parameters for donating cooked/prepared food?

    Any cooked foods must have been prepared by a restaurant or caterer that receives regular health inspections and must be “non-plated” leftovers that have been properly stored and transported (refrigerated/frozen). Foods that have been out of refrigeration for more than 4 hours cannot be accepted.

  • Do you accept any donations besides food?

    We accept hygiene items such as shampoo, body wash, bar soap, shaving cream, razors, toothbrushes and toothpaste. We do not accept clothing of any kind nor do we accept any other household or kitchen related items.

  • Is there food you don't accept?

    We do not accept homemade prepared foods, frozen foods not in their original package, or opened/partially used foods including boxed or dried non-perishables. We also prefer not to receive glass jars if possible. 

  • Do you take clothing or furniture donations?

    At this time we do not accept donations of clothing or furniture. 

  • Can you help me with my rent?

  • Can I buy a bus pass at Boca Helping Hands?

    Through the Palm Tran TD Program, discounted bus passes are available to qualified residents. Individuals must provide a photo ID and proof of income. Eligible individuals can purchase a monthly pass at the discounted rate of $15 or $20 (depending on income) or a daily pass for $1.50.
