10th Annual Bowling for Bread Post Event Information

Boca Helping Hands is thrilled to report on another successful event with this year’s annual Bowling for Bread. We were very fortunate with the weather this year! It was touch and go. This year, our dear friend and supporter, The Lee Pearlson Steinberg Foundation was our 2016 Bowling for Bread Event Sponsor. Lee also made a check presentation to BHH at the Bowling for Bread Event. This event would have been impossible to have put on without the help of some amazing volunteers. LouAnn Such helps with the planning and also arranges for all of the food to be donated to this event. Dale Workman makes our children’s prize baskets truly beautiful. Mavis Miller is a BHH volunteer who helped in many ways including putting donor information into our special auction program. Margi Cross and Phyllis Miller came on a Tuesday before the event and sorted out the hundreds of t-shirts to hand out at the event. Each year Margi Cross and Lisa Rabinsky staff the registration table. Phyllis and her husband, Barry, help hand out all of the shirts to our 14 organizations and 23 tournament bowlers. We were also blessed with volunteers that came out on Sunday, BHH Volunteers, Marshalls volunteers, BHH Staff and family plus many others. Thank you to Flora Belle and all of her clowns who entertained the children throughout the afternoon.
