Commercial Driver’s License Job Training Program

Boca Helping Hands partners with accredited CDL schools in South Florida to train students to earn a Class A Commercial Driver’s License. The Commercial Driver’s License Program trains students to drive truck-tractors, semi-trailers or trucks, and trailers. Obtain your CDL in just 5-7 weeks!

Prior to applying, please ensure that you have a valid Class A Temporary Permit and possess a DOT Physical Card. 

Requirements:
+ Are 18 years of age or older
+ Have a high school diploma or GED (in English)
+ Have a valid driver’s license and Social Security Card
+ Have strong English language skills
+ Have reliable transportation
+ Pass Level 1 background screening check
+ Possess a Class A Temporary Permit
+ Possess a DOT Physical Card
+ Refundable deposit required  

Phase One: One week of Job Readiness taught virtually via Zoom. Monday through Friday from 9am - 4pm. 

Phase Two: Forty hours of vehicle driving training at partner schools, typically starting on any Saturday from 8:30am - 5pm, then 2-3 weeks from 5:30 - 9:30pm.

Phase Three: Graduates work with BHH Job Mentors to update/create resumes, practice mock interviews, and learn how to navigate employment sites for open positions.

Please note that all phases are mandatory for successful completion of the program
