Last March, Aaron J. lost his job as a bus attendant for special needs kids when COVID-19 hit and schools closed. When work resumed in August, he learned about the BHH Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Program from one of the bus drivers, who encouraged him to apply. “Getting my CDL was already in my future plans - I pulled up the website and did the application right away,” he said.
Aaron started CDL training in November, graduated in December, and landed a job with a large-tier industry truckload carrier by the end of the year. In addition to accelerating his training, he said BHH’s Job Readiness class prepared him to “work with different personalities”– a skill that will continue to serve him well.
