Lynda spent 25 years as a marketing executive in consumer packaged goods. She worked domestically and internationally for US multinationals (Clairol, Bristol Myers and Sara Lee) with line responsibility in strategic planning, brand development, market segmentation, product launches and relaunches, marketing research, advertising, sales, promotion, and PR.
Her people management experience includes employee training and development, and team building. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce from McGill University and an MBA from Concordia University (both in Montreal). She has volunteered as a job mentor at Boca Helping Hands for the past 10 years.
"Volunteerism has been called a selfless act. I’m not sure that’s true - it’s too rewarding to be selfless. As a job mentor, I’m able to use my skills and experience to, hopefully, help others along their way. I volunteer because I’m thankful that I’m able to volunteer. It’s my expression of gratitude."
