FIRST CITIZENS BANK SUPPORTS BOCA HELPING HANDS’ BOWLING FOR BREAD EVENT

BOCA RATON, FLA – August 17, 2016 – First Citizens Bank has committed to support Boca Helping Hands as their for-profit partner at their 10th Annual Bowling For Bread event. This event will be held on Sunday, August 28, 2016 from 2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. at Strikes at Boca Raton, which will be held in conjunction with Boca Raton Chamber Festival Days.


The Bowling for Bread event is a fundraiser to help benefit the participating children’s charities which include: 4KIDS of South Florida, Inc., Adopt A Family, American Association of Care Giving Youth, Family Promise of South Palm Beach County, Florence Fuller (East & West), HomeSafe, Jim & Jan Moran Boys & Girls Club, Kids in Distress, Place of Home Boca & West Palm Beach, PROPEL, Salvation Army, SOS Children’s Villages, Unicorn Children’s Foundation, and YMCA.


Individuals, families and children will enjoy an afternoon of fun, food and bowling, while completing for trophies recognizing the best bowlers. Participation through sponsorships, donations or raffle items are a great way to get involved to support the organizations and the event.


Boca Helping Hands is a 501(c)(3) organization that opened in 1998 as a food center to help the local residents. Today, they are open 6-days per week with a family dinner on Thursday evenings and deliver meals to homebound disabled and elderly individuals. In 2002 Boca Helping Hands opened their Recourse Center to help Boca Raton residents with crisis situations, such as eviction, utility cancelation and prescription medications and recently expanded their job-training program.
