Tara Keimel Demetrus

Born and raised in Fort Lauderdale, Tara moved to Tallahassee to study dance and English at Florida State University in 2014. Throughout her college career, Tara was fortunate to live in San Francisco and New York City while training with the Alonzo King Lines Ballet and Alvin Ailey dance companies. 

Tara's interest in public relations and marketing for the arts grew during her time dancing, until she later transitioned to pursue marketing full time. Tara's passion for work in the nonprofit sector began with her work at Fort Lauderdale's Flagler Arts and Technology (FAT) Village Center for the Arts where she worked with the Artistic Director for five years, developing their marketing department.

Tara is recently married to her sweetheart Michael and they are anxiously awaiting the arrival of their son, Oliver, expected to debut in March 2024. Mike, his son Milo, and Tara enjoy traveling, watching new and classic films and snuggling their animals, Mooshu and Gizmo.
