For over 16 years, Zoe Lanham has been a steadfast supporter of Boca Helping Hands, serving on the Board of Directors and dedicating her time and energy to supporting our mission in several ways. As Vice President of the Addison and an accomplished event industry professional, Zoe has used her expertise to advance our biggest fundraiser of the year, the annual MONOPOLY Casino Night & Gala.

Born in the United Kingdom, Zoe spent her early years living in Africa. Her belief in accessible education, conservation, preserving community history, and extending a helping hand stemmed from her witnessing the profound impact poverty has on communities.

Zoe's commitment to Boca Helping Hands has been remarkable. During the pandemic, she and her team cooked and delivered 100 daily meals to BHH. Most recently, Zoe co-chaired and served on the 2023 and 2024 Monopoly Gala event committee, contributing to them being the most successful to date, fundraising a record amount of funds benefiting BHH’s many programs.

Community involvement and support have been paramount for Zoe over the years. Apart from her involvement with Boca Helping Hands, she also supports the George Snow Scholarship Fund, Boca Raton Historical Society, Tri-County Animal Rescue, and the Great Plains Foundation.

Diagnosed with breast cancer in 2020, Zoe shared her journey while advocating for female-led cancer research alongside the American Cancer Society. Her devotion to the cause led her to fundraise for the Baptist Health Foundation and Bounce Back from Cancer, an initiative raising awareness, funding vital research, and championing early detection efforts. Through her fundraising efforts, she raised over $800,000 in crucial funds for those affected by cancer, all while undergoing aggressive treatment herself.

“Being nominated for the Woman Volunteer of the Year Award among this exceptional group of women who tirelessly donate their time to the betterment of our collective community is one of the greatest honors I’ve ever received,” Zoe said.

Her nomination is a testament to her unwavering dedication, compassion, and impactful contributions to the community. The entire Boca Helping Hands family salutes Zoe and is looking forward to celebrating her at the Woman Volunteer of the Year awards ceremony this November.
