As part of our extended strategic plan to help more people across Palm Beach County, we're continually implementing new ways to enhance our Job Training and Mentoring programs.
We cover the cost of 11 vocational training programs to prepare clients for careers in healthcare, transportation, construction,
information technology, and customer service.
After job training graduates complete their vocational training, they're paired with a BHH Job Mentor to look for jobs, fill out applications, and prepare for interviews. Earlier this year, BHH Job Mentors participated in enrichment training to ensure they provide guidance based upon the curriculum that students have learned in our week-long job readiness class.
BHH has also teamed up with Board Member Martine Pierre- Paul to enhance the mentorship program by leveraging her expertise in interview etiquette.
Graduates will now receive actionable interview preparation from Pierre-Paul, including advice about proper attire, professional greetings, questions to ask during the interview, and much more.
Through these additional resources, we hope to set up graduates for long-term success as they venture into their careers.
