Since 2017, 32 agencies have applied for membership and only three have been accepted.
Each year, the Town of Palm Beach United Way opens its new agency application process to established health and human service nonprofit organizations in Palm Beach County. Applicants must meet stringent qualifications, complete two applications, participate in multiple interviews, and undergo a thorough evaluation by experienced Town of Palm Beach United Way volunteers.
In total, the organization has 47 partner agencies and helps nearly half a million individuals through its funded programs. As a new partner, BHH will be eligible for grant funding and other support.
"This new partnership is a fitting reflection of how BHH services have been steadily expanding northward from our base in Boca Raton," said BHH Executive Director Greg Hazle. "We are hopeful that this relationship will help us to expand the scope, reach and impact of our various programs."
