Longtime BHH Volunteers Jett and Luke Justin continue to raise the bar with their annual spring cereal drive, this year collecting 10,619 pounds (or 8,007 boxes) of cereal - double their initial goal of 4,000 pounds.Donated through the nonprofit they founded when they were just eight years old, Cereal4all, the 16-year-old twin brothers have now donated more than 250,000 bowls-worth of cereal since 2016.

Perhaps even more impressive is how they’ve been able to scale their efforts. Over the past two years, Jett and Luke have recruited student ambassadors from 40 schools in Florida, 25 schools in other states, and one in Canada to expand their impact, now benefiting 40 food banks across the U.S., Ontario, and the Bahamas. This collective effort has resulted in nearly 420,000 bowls of cereal being donated to those facing food insecurity.

The twins’ nonprofit  not only provides essential breakfast items for families in need but also raises awareness among students about food insecurity in their communities. By engaging students in activities like promoting cereal drives and collecting cereal donations, Cereal4all aims to instill compassion engage younger generations to fight hunger.

Reflecting on their journey, Luke Justin emphasizes the fulfillment derived from their nonprofit work, stating, "There’s really no better feeling than making a positive difference in someone else’s life.” Jett Justin shares in the sentiment, saying that "the happy connection young people have with cereal makes the sad facts of food insecurity more personal for them. Students can clearly imagine what it means to have an empty bowl. That can spark their compassion and get them more engaged in the fight against hunger."
