Originally from Casablanca, Morocco, Amine H. moved to Boca Raton to start a new chapter with his family. Amine was working as a Banquet Captain for 12 years at a well-known Italian restaurant when the pandemic struck in 2020. Looking for additional support, he found Boca Helping Hands’ Pantry Bag Program.
Although Amine had a steady job working at the restaurant, he was ready for change. After learning about BHH’s Job Training Program, he immediately went online, researched, and applied for the Electrical Apprenticeship.
Upon completing the Associated Builders and Contractors’ (ABC) nine-month Electrical program, Amine attended a job fair in search of employment and a sponsor for his apprenticeship. After receiving two offers, Amine was happy to accept and begin work with Tri-City Electrical.
Amine is thankful for the BHH program, which has provided him with not only training, but confidence. “The financial, social assistance, and support BHH provided will be a great help to achieve my dream and build a better life for my family and me.” Amine is currently working on finishing Year One of his four-year apprenticeship and thanks BHH for facilitating his career change.
