Jeanelle M. is originally from Alvin, Texas, and relocated to South Florida in March 2020 with her husband Jeff and two boys, Trenten and Jacob.
Jeanelle has a professional nursing background and works part-time at a healthy foods restaurant, where she imparts health education on diet and nutrition.
She first heard of Boca Helping Hands from an online search and signed up to help distribute healthcare vouchers at our Lake Worth satellite location. In addition, she also checks in and registers new clients for our Pantry Bag Program.
Inspired by helping people, she feels fulfilled by bringing a smile to someone’s face and helping meet their needs. “The best part of volunteering is the clients. The smiles and thank-you’s we get. The hands I get to hold and pray with.”
The camaraderie she shares with other volunteers is deeply valued. “My fellow volunteers are the best! We have so much fun - we joke, laugh, smile, and support each other.”
Past volunteer experience includes the American Cancer Society, Susan G. Komen Foundation, Race for the Cure, her children's school, and her church organization. Later this month, she will be volunteering at SunFest to help raise money for scholarships.
We thank Jeanelle for her kind heart and generous spirit. She is an asset to our team, and we are grateful that she's a part of our BHH Family.
