Support the 2021 Annual Match

November 1, 2021

As we approach the end of another challenging year here at Boca Helping Hands, we feel fortunate and full of gratitude. Despite all of the challenges – thanks to the community’s support – we’ve been successful in expanding the scope, reach and impact of most of our programs.

As we kick off our 2021 Annual Matching Campaign, we once again hope for your continued support. More faithful contributors have agreed to match your donations during this year’s campaign, and we hope that their generosity will inspire others to give. Contributions made between November 1 and December 31 which are marked “Annual Match” will help us support the expansions underway.

Continuing to improve the impact we are having on peoples’ lives is an ongoing goal. For example, we are now planning to provide more financial support to Job Training students who sign up for some of our recently introduced programs. Many of these new programs (such as construction trades) are more demanding and take longer to complete, which may require students to limit their existing work schedules and make other personal sacrifices. Along with supporting our food programs, healthcare vouchers, and financial assistance services, your contributions can help us to better support our Job Training students as they pursue the independence that comes from better paying jobs.

At this time last year, many were optimistic that 2021 would be the year we “returned to normal.” Employees would be back in the office, grandparents would be reunited with grandchildren, and the neighborhood bar would once again be where “everybody knew your name.” Unfortunately, the Delta variant had other plans.

While 2022 could finally be the year we had hoped for in 2021, regardless, we at Boca Helping Hands are grateful to have partners who not only have our back but continue to help us promote the work that we do. With donations being matched, it’s a great time to invite your friends and family to become new BHH partners as well.
